The traffic control centre is changing – no more is it a bank of TV screens in a darkened room with 20 pairs of eyes fixed upon it, monitoring the vicinity for traffic incidents. The TCC is now a fully-fledged disaster and resilience management centre, able to cope with anything the roads (and nature) can throw at it. But has this meant a fundamental change in technology? Or is this the perfect example of utilising what we already have? Six industry experts hold court.
