‘Report a Road’ website launched in South Australia

The Report a Road website is an initiative of the RAA (Royal Automobile Association of South Australia) and encourages all road users – motorists, cyclists and pedestrians – to notify of any issues they might come across.

Members of the public are also able to contact the department’s 24-hour Traffic Management Centre to report traffic conditions and roadside hazards as soon as possible.

The RAA plans to collate the reports by category and location, with the aim of providing a central location to raise issues such as sunken or protruding manhole covers, road surfaces or damaged traffic signs.

It will then direct them to the responsible authority – be it a government department, local council or, in the case of manhole covers and other such infrastructure, the relevant agency.

In the case of an emergency, members of the public should always make contact with police or the other relevant emergency agency first.

The RAA website can be found at: www.raa.com.au/reportaroad
