Peter Sweatman and Abbas Mohaddes team up to establish CAVita
Peter Sweatman and Abbas Mohaddes announced at the 22nd ITS World Congress that they have established CAVita to provide world-class advisory services in connected and automated vehicles (CAV). Services include policy, strategy, deployment, business models, and associated infrastructure and data systems in creating a transformational transportation ecosystem.
Peter Sweatman commented, “The connected and automated mobility market is fast-growing and rapidly evolving. Private and public organizations, as well as universities worldwide, are at various levels of planning and R&D to position themselves in this market. We are keen to assist those enterprises with a strong desire to engage in the new mobility economy. Lessons learned in various CAV strategic and deployment activities will be put to work at CAVita. Abbas and I share a strong belief in collaboration to accelerate the deployment of new vehicle and infrastructure technologies.”

Abbas Mohaddes (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Peter Sweatman (email@example.com), two seasoned and highly respected ITS industry executives, have established CAVita. This venture is focused on enabling transformational mobility technologies including connected and automated vehicles.
Mr. Mohaddes is CEO of The Mohaddes Group and former CEO of Iteris, Inc. Dr. Sweatman is the founding director of the Michigan Mobility Transformation Center (MTC), and immediate past director of the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI), 2004 – 2015. Both Mohaddes and Sweatman are past chairs of the ITS America Board of Directors, and of its Leadership Circle.
CAVita has been created to assist public, private, and non-profit organizations in the connected and automated vehicle industry who are coming together to create new test facilities, demonstrations, deployments, and business models.
