ITS Australia Awards 2015 – Call for Nominations are now open

A celebration of excellence in intelligent transport systems, nominations are now open for the 6th annual ITS Australian National Awards, to be held at the Sydney Opera House on Wednesday 18 November.

A major initiative of ITS Australia, the awards program has been established to recognise professional ITS expertise across the country and to help highlight the contribution impact of ITS technologies on the everyday travellers’ journey.

Speaking recently of the Awards, Susan Harris, Chief Executive Officer of ITS Australia said “representing industry, government and research in the intelligent transport system space, the ITS Australia Awards is a great night that celebrates and recognises Australian organisations as leaders of ITS technologies, products and services.

“For these organisations, gaining recognition within the Australian market and influential industry publications and trade media is just the start towards international acknowledgement.

“Last year’s award winner Intelematics Australia is testament to this, as the companies have now been put forward to represent Australia at the 2015 ITS World Congress in Bordeaux, France later this year,” Ms Harris said.

At this year’s awards presentation night we are very pleased to have keynote speaker Mr Tim Reardon, Secretary Transport for NSW speaking on “Digital Transport: NSW”

Open to intelligent transport system technology researchers, developers, infrastructure providers, manufacturers, developers and young ITS professionals, winning an award in one of five categories is a chance to highlight organisational  achievements in transport, safety, environment and community divisions.
