ITS Australia announces new board ahead of World Congress 2016


ITS Australia has announced their new Board, in time for the ITS World Congress, to be held in Melbourne next October 2016.

Announcing the new and returning elects at the annual general meeting held last week in Sydney, ITS Australia congratulates the existing Board members that have been re-elected, including:

  • Mr John Hawkins – Schiender
  • Mr Dean Zabrieszach – HMI Technologies
  • Mr James Hurnall – Federal Chamber of Automative Industries
  • Mr Andrew Mehaffey – Roads and Maritime Services
  • Mr Brian Negus – RACV
  • Mr Dale Andrea – Vic Roads
  • Mr Rob Fitzpatrick – Data61

ITS Australia also welcomes two new board members that have been newly elected:

  • Mr Dennis Walsh – Transport and Main Roads
  • Mr Mark Jackman – Bosch Australia

These new and re-elected board members will join ongoing Board members:

  • Mr Gino Dompietro – Jacobs Group
  • Mr Adam Game – Intelematics
  • Mr Chris Koniditsiotis – Transport Certification Australia
  • Mr Jeremy Nassau – Transurban
  • Mr Soren Tellegen – Kapsch Traffic Com Australia
  • Mr Michael Watts – Transmax Pty Ltd

The Board will continue to be lead by President Brian Negus and Vice President Dean Zabrieszach. Announcing the new and returning elects, Mr Negus said at last week’s meeting “the diversity of this Board across government, industry and research leaders places ITS Australia in a strong position to lead the industry and prepare for the 23rd ITS World Congress in Melbourne, October 10 to 14, 2016.”

Mr Negus also acknowledged and thanked outgoing Board members Mr Glenn Geers, ARRB, Mr Graham Ackers, GHD and Mr Manu Hingorani TMR for their significant contribution.
