FIWARE – the new frontier…
Horizon2020-funded project frontierCities2 will announce its new open calls at three events, all taking place on Wednesday 1 March. The events, hosted by frontierCities2 project partners, will take place at the University of Messina in Sicily, the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK and the B19 Country Club in Brussels.
The European accelerator frontierCities2 will be managing €1.6 million, funding start-ups and SMEs wishing to develop innovative web-based solutions for intelligent mobility using FIWARE, the open source Future Internet platform that allows rapid prototyping of new software applications. The accelerator will provide grant funding to cover the entire business plan, up to a maximum of €100,000. Listen to the accompanying H3B Media podcast in which fC2’s Séan Burke, Alberto Soraci and Stefano de Panfilis explain the goals of the project, the benefits of FIWARE and its future impacts on smart mobility.
