Bentley Envision a Holographic Butler for Autonomous Cars
Bentley imagine inside the autonomous car of tomorrow: the automaker sees an opportunity to have a butler who would take the form of a hologram.
Two benches face-to-face, table, sliding doors and a hologram for passengers: this is Bentley’s vision of the autonomous car of the future, so autonomous that there will need to find the driver to eventually regain control of the autopilot.
One has this concept to Stefan Sielaff, chief designer of Bentley, who unveiled his vision during a conference held in London this week. “We had the equivalent of the autonomous car the last 100 years, the passenger’s point of view from the back seat, with a driver,” he says. “The way of life will change dramatically over the next 20 years. Three quarters of the world population will live in megacities. I’m pretty sure everyone will be sitting in public transport, but there will always be demand for private transport, especially for wealthy clients. Maybe they will be members of a rapid transit club, and many independent modes of transport will grow. We play on that string. ”
It will probably take many years before we have a fully autonomous vehicle with a holographic butler, but the vision of Bentley gives an idea of ??what could be the future of luxury cars in a few decades.
